David Marcantonio, President of Action Funding, founded the company in 1996 due to his own involvement with trying to secure financing for his commercial clients. David was working as a real estate agent at the time, and it was increasingly difficult for him to find the right loan program for his clients. If there were a blemish on the purchaser's credit, the local banks would turn the loan application down. Growth opportunities were being lost or, at the very least, delayed for area companies because the bank lending guidelines were getting more strict. As the economy grew worse, the stricter the banks would become. Without stellar credit, the loan could not get done.
David switched his career from real estate agent to commercial mortgage broker to facilitate the growing need for commercial and business financing. Throughout the years, the company's relationships with the country's top non-bank lenders have grown considerably. Loan programs that are available for borrowers have also grown considerably. Action Funding offers quick and ready access to the best possible loan for many loan situations and many types of commercial properties.
Action Funding has grown into a $33 million a year company in closed loans. For the past four years, Action Funding has been the top producer of SBA loans in the State of Connecticut with the nation's largest SBA lender.
